DJ Marcelle / Another Nice Ness
Female Dutch DJ Marcelle/Another Nice Mess has been a member of the Klangbad family since 2007 when she first appeared at the Klangbad Festival. Since then she dj-ed at every festival and released two double vinyl mixes (2008s DJ Marcelle/Another Nice Mess Meets Her Soulmates At Faust Studio Deejay Laboratory and DJ Marcelle/Another Nice Mess Meets More Soulmates At Faust Studio Deejay Laboratory (2010)) on the Klangbad label. After summer the third installment in this series will be released: DJ Marcelle/Another Nice Mess Meets Further Soulmates At Faust Studio Deejay Laboratory. Live and in the studio Marcelle uses three turntables, creating a very inventive and adventurous sound, often very surprising and forward thinking, and not lacking in humour at the same time.
Marcelle owns an extensive vinyl collection of some 15,000 records from which she plays a crazy assortment of the (strangest) sounds: Electronica, African, Cumbia, Avant Garde, Techno, Dubstep, Minimal, Drum n Bass, Riot Grrls, Ragga, Grime, Leftfield Hiphop, old Punk, Breakcore, Dub and much more. And how marvellous - everything fits together like a charm. She is true pioneer!
Marcelle plays her wicked live sets on stages all over Europe and is a resident DJ in cities like Vienna, Berlin, Hamburg, Linz, Ulm and Landau. Marcelle does also weekly and monthly radio shows in four countries (England, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands), playing the latest exciting releases.
